1963 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE SAFARI STATION WAGON You are bidding on a rare 1963 Pontiac Bonneville Safari Station Wagon in very original condition. This is vehicle is from New Mexico and appears to have been garaged for its entire life. The interior is original. It has a two-tone greenish gray vinyl. The only flaw in the seat upholstery is a spot approximately 6" long where the vinyl has split along one of the sewn seams in the center of the front seat. It is not noticeable, but is a relatively easy fix to insure preservation of the original upholstery. The door panels are immaculate. They fit tightly to the doors with no tears or rips. The stainless and chrome hardware is also in near mint condition. The vinyl covered side panels in the rear cargo area do have a few small tears, and the major wheelhouse cover vinyl shows signs of discoloration. The highly chromed trim on the dashboard area is in near mint condition. There is no sign of any flaws to the original factory paint, all gauges are beautiful, and the dash pad is in mint condition. The exterior is gold on the bottom, and ivory on the roof. The roof is original paint, while the lower portion has been repainted with Basecoat / clearcoat to match the original paint. None of the doorjambs have been touched. The undercarriage is extremely clean, and most of the original factory inspection marks are evident on the chassis as well as in the engine compartment. The original factory air conditioning needs to be recharged. It worked fine when the car was last driven several summers ago. The car has a new set of Crager SS chrome wheels and new tires. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere with confidence. This car does not look or drive like its got 65000 miles! It is very rare to find a Pontiac Safari Wagon of this vintage in such great original condition!
